Skippack, Pennsylvania

The Skippack area contains one of the largest groups of historic structures west of, but still in the Philadelphia region. There are several small Pennsylvania towns within easy striking distance to Philly that we could recommend, Skippack is one of the most colorful and interesting with quite a few shops and restaurants. It's also not too far from funkier Ambler and the PowerHouse antiques/flea market in Collegeville (only open on Sundays).
