Hudson Valley Restaurant Week - New York

Hudson Valley Restaurant Week runs for two weeks, with top restaurants in the mid- and lower-Hudson Valley offering special three-course dinner menus for one price (some also do lunch). Many featuring local Hudson Valley products. No passes, tickets or coupons are required. Diners simply choose from the list of participating restaurants and call the restaurant directly to reserve a table.

Piermont, New York

The most southern New York village along the west bank of the Hudson River, Piermont is quintessential upstate New York. A lazy mix of historic buildings tucked way off the main roads, Piermont has an air of upscale, artsy honky tonk, mainly because of its proximity to New York City and New Jersey. Aside from the small downtown, visitors and residents are attracted to the picturesque riverfront just south of the Tappan Zee bridge. A building boom occured in the mid 90's as hundreds of townhouses and condos were added along the waterfront. But what really put Piermont on the map was the opening of a branch of Xaviar's, one of the most celebrated restaurants in the New York Metro area (bring your credit cards!) Piermont is also notable for the Piermont Pier which juts out quite far into the Hudson. Parking is very limited but you can walk it as well.

Although full of residents with high net worth, the internet seems to have bypassed Piermont as most of the stores and restaurants in this list don't have websites. So call ahead if there's something you're particularly interested in. If the town does get a website, it looks like it will be here. An unofficial site can be found here.
