18th Century Trade Faire - Statesville, North Carolina

The 18th Century Trade Faire at Fort Dobbs State Park showcases the lives of many civilians on the Carolina frontier were disrupted by the French and Indian War. Join hundreds of soldiers, Native Americans and civilians as they set up their camps near Fort Dobbs. Visitors can experience a snapshot of life on the edge of the British Empire in the 1750’s. The event will feature a re-created skirmish between Cherokee Indians and colonial militia, scholarly lectures and on-going demonstrations of 18th century camp life and trades.

Mooresville Tour of Homes - Mooresville, North Carolina

The Historic Mooresville Tour of Homes spotlights six historic homes and, for the first time, a historic church in Downtown Mooresville. The weekend kicks off with a Starry Night Downtown party in John Franklin Moore Park where attendees will be invited to tour two recently designated local landmark buildings, to visit the Mooresville Museum to view plans for its upcoming renovation, and to stop in the Mooresville Depot for a sneak peak at the visiting American Watercolor Society Travel Show.
