Begun as a place for Moravians to teach Christianity to Native Americans, Schoenbrunn is a reconstruction of several buildings, the garden, a museum and visitors center.
Zoar, Ohio
Founded in the early 19th century by German Separatists, Zoar offers ten restored buildings open to the public which display life in a rural society. Several other buildings in town house shops, inns and other charming diversions.
