The Carter County Museum houses both a History and Natural Historical museum and includes paleontological discoveries and numerous artifacts depicting the lives of Native Americans and the early settlers of Carter County. Originally built at an automotive garage, this very interesting building was enhanced with petrified wood donated by local ranchers.
