Calistoga, California

Less well known than some of the other more southern Napa Valley towns, Calistoga was originally begun by California's first millionaire. He wanted to fashion the town, and its natural hot springs, as a west coast version of Saratoga Springs. Today its a fairly large town with too many shops and restaurants to mention. And of course the spas. If you were planning to end your trip at St. Helena, consider travelling a few miles farther north to this hidden gem.
