Ellicottville, New York

With the Holiday Valley Ski Resort and Holimont Ski Club (North America's largest private ski club), Ellicottville is a major (and surprising) ski destination in western New York. The small village, which has somewhat of a western feel, hosts many shops geared towards outdoor activities, the arts, antiques, and more and offers plenty of charm for a quiet stroll.
