Settled by a group of refugees from Belgium and France in 1678, Huguenot Street is a very unusual historic district that features seven colonial stone house museums in their original village setting.
Also featured is a reconstruction of the 1717 stone church and the original burying ground. All set on six landscaped acres in downtown New Paltz. Close to the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail, the hiking and climbing at Mohonk Preserve, shopping and dining. The grounds are open 365 days a year. The Visitor Center is open May through December.
